Welcome to my itch.io page! I'm Katie, a seasoned research, development, and production professional with a rich background in education, simulation & game development, and e-learning solutions. My passion lies in creating immersive and impactful gaming experiences, leveraging my extensive experience in Unity and Phaser/JavaScript development.

Here, you'll find a collection of games from my personal tinkering or final projects from my Simulation & Game Development Program at Wake Tech Community College. 

SIMULATION & GAME DEVELOPMENT PORTFOLIO

• Clinical Tools, Inc/Health Impact Studio
  • Lift: Medical Student Peer Support and Resilience Skills – Part of an all-woman team who developed an educational prototype simulation for a Phase I grant using Adobe XD and the Unreal Engine.
  • Med Connect: Patient Interactions – Part of a team of coders who created content for educational patient cases via HTML and Javascript. Since the content was hosted on a web server, I programmed the Med Connect app within Unity to house all the cases for a better learning experience. A graphic artist provided me with UI and graphics.
  • Clinical Encounters Cases (Alice, Alan, Marcus, Tommy) – I used visual scripting narrative software within Unity to create a series of prototype cases for a Phase I grant. Later, these were developed into a more robust app for the Phase II grant.
